The development of the East Ancol reclamation area is part of the North Coast Reclamation Plan (Pantura) to accommodate the expansion of urban activities in the city of Jakarta. The Pantura Reclamation Area is a strategic provincial area that has an important influence on the economy, social, culture and environment.
The goals of this development reclamation area is also to anticipate climate change which causes rising sea levels. The concept of developing the East Ancol reclamation area as a new epicenter and recreation network based on technology and culture.
